You keep the trading systems of the Cumberland team running, answer traders' support calls and fix faults with exchanges and counterparties. The seat sits in Cumberland Mining at DRW, a firm that trades with its own money in markets around the world. The job is to keep the technology the traders rely on healthy and to get it back quickly when it fails.

Trading Systems Engineer is the firm's name for the seat. It is production support for a trading business. You look after the deployment of software, the way it is configured and the monitoring that watches it, with the aim of spotting trouble before it happens and recovering fast when it does.
