Capital markets

You spend 10 weeks in the team that helps clients borrow money, either by selling bonds to investors or by arranging loans. A bond is a loan cut into pieces that investors buy. The borrower pays them interest and repays the money at the end. Banks call the work of finding these deals and seeing them through origination, and you see all of it, from studying the market and pitching to the client to the legal papers at the end. The summer opens with a week of technical training on the bank's products and markets, and then you join the Capital Markets Team.
