You spend 10 weeks on a trading desk that designs, prices and trades structured products, contracts built to meet one client's particular need. A structured product is made from derivatives, contracts whose value depends on the price of something else, such as an interest rate or a currency. A company that wants to fix the cost of its borrowing in several currencies might buy one. The desk works across interest rates, foreign exchange and cross-asset products, which combine several markets in one contract. The summer opens with a week of technical training.
