You spend 10 weeks in the part of the bank that looks after large companies and arranges the money they need, working in two business areas in turn. Coverage teams get to know each client's business and priorities and connect it with the right product. Product teams each specialise in one kind of financing. Project finance, for example, lends against the cash a single asset such as a power plant will earn, and securitisation packages loans into bonds that are sold to investors. The summer begins with technical training, and more training follows throughout the 10 weeks.
