What the job is
You design and test custom computer chips that let a trading firm react to markets as fast as possible.
An ASIC is a chip built for a single job. In trading, speed matters, so firms put parts of their systems straight into hardware rather than software. This seat sits in the Ultra Low Latency team in London, working on both ASIC and FPGA designs.
