You spend six months on one fixed income sales or trading desk, doing the work of a junior analyst who helps price trades and bring ideas to clients.
Sales and trading desks buy and sell bonds, currencies, commodities and the contracts built on them for large investors. On this off-cycle internship at Morgan Stanley in London you are placed on one desk for the whole six months. The desks hiring include Structured Derivatives Sales, Structured Rates, Credit, Securitized Products Group and Commodities, among others.
