Cash equities means ordinary company shares, as opposed to options or futures built on them. Market making means you stand ready to quote a price to buy or sell, so a client who wants to move a large block of shares can do it in one go with the bank. As a sector specialist you know the companies in a group of industries well, which helps you price their shares.
