You write the fast C++ software that runs Hudson River Trading's live trading and the systems its researchers rely on. C++ is a programming language used where code must run very fast, and here it sits at the centre of both live trading and research infrastructure.

The systems you build have to keep working when parts fail and react so quickly that even a microsecond of delay matters. The work draws on how the operating system, the processor and the network shape a program's speed.
