What the job is
You explain a set of bond funds to the salespeople and clients who might invest in them, so they understand what each fund does and why it is worth buying. An investment specialist sits between the portfolio managers, who decide what a fund buys, and the people who sell the fund.
This seat covers Global, Securitised and Sterling fixed income products. Fixed income means bonds, which are loans to governments or companies that pay regular interest. Securitised bonds are backed by pools of loans, such as mortgages, and Sterling bonds are those issued in pounds. The seat is a fixed term contract of 6 months.
