You spend a year helping the bankers who look after large companies as clients, from researching those companies to preparing their checks and pitches. Coverage bankers, called Coverage Officers here, each own the bank's relationship with a set of companies. They learn what each company needs and bring in colleagues who provide loans, bond issues and other products.

You sit in the Coverage team in London, which is part of Coverage and Investment Banking. You support the Coverage Officers and also the Head of UK Coverage and Investment Banking. The internship runs for 12 months, so it works much like a placement year.
