Job

Software developer

DRW · Summer

Trading firm

What the job is

You spend ten weeks in London writing software that a trading firm uses to read market data, handle its trades and watch its risk. The seat is a summer internship for students in computing, engineering, maths or science. DRW trades with its own money across bonds, shares, currencies, commodities and energy, and nearly everything it does runs on software its own developers build. You are given one project, with a senior technologist to guide you, and the aim is for your code to be live before you leave.

DRW calls the role Software Developer Intern. It is the firm's summer route into its technology teams, and it works like a long interview where the project is the test.
