You spend a summer at Capital Group researching one open investment question and presenting your conclusions to senior investors. It is the internship version of the Capital Associates Program, known as CAP, the firm's route for people who want to become investors.

The work is research rather than trading. You take a question where the answer is not obvious, such as what a satellite company in Japan is worth or how hydrogen might cut emissions from transport, and build a view the firm's investors can use.

It is a summer internship, so the firm gets to know your work over several weeks and you find out whether investing is for you.
