Team: Unified Global Banking. We're looking for ambitious students to join our 2027 Summer Internship Program Unified Global Banking within our Global Banking business (source)
This is UBS's 2027 Summer Internship in its Global Banking business in London. The internship is 10 weeks and paid. You would evaluate companies and build models for M&A transactions, prepare industry analyses for pitches, see how the bank provides what it calls market-leading solutions, and work on the execution of live deals, with mentors and access to senior people along the way. Source
'Global Banking' is UBS's name for its investment banking division: coverage bankers, M&A and the capital markets and financing products. The advert names no sector or product group, so read this as the general investment banking summer analyst intake, with your team decided after the offer.
The team
Nothing attaches this posting to a named team node, so the description below comes from the advert itself.
You would work in the Global Banking team in London, which the bank says is responsible for providing coverage, advisory, capital markets and financing solutions for corporate, financial institution and sponsor clients. Source
84 people have held London roles at UBS's IBD since 2018. Against 15 in the bank's M&A unit and 5 in Lev Fin in the same data, the broad investment banking group is where most of the London bankers we see sit, which fits an advert that does not name a product team.
The firm
UBS describes itself as a firm with a truly global footprint, says it uses artificial intelligence to work smarter and puts collaboration at the centre of how it works, and states it is an equal opportunity employer that offers reasonable adjustments through the recruitment process. Source
253 people have held London roles at UBS as a whole since 2018, against 84 in IBD, so investment banking is the largest single destination for the bank's London hires.
What this posting signals
A successful internship may lead to an offer to return for the Graduate Talent Program after you complete your studies, and the advert asks for candidates in their penultimate or final year. Source
A 2027 summer programme posted in mid-August 2026 with a mid-September deadline is the front of the annual campus cycle, and it converts into the 2028 graduate class. The ten weeks are the interview for that job.
The bank says applications may close before 13 September. In a four-week window with rolling review, the first fortnight is where the seats are.
Are you eligible?
You should be in your penultimate or final year of studies, on track for a 2:1 (UK system) or equivalent in your first undergraduate degree, able to show how experimental and responsible use of AI can improve outcomes and efficiency, and have values the bank lists as hard-working, trustworthy, dedicated and collaborative, with strategic thinking, strong communication and the motivation to work to tight deadlines. All majors are welcome, but an interest in the financial industry matters, and the bank asks you to show what makes you unique, giving fundraising, team sport or learning a hard subject as examples. Source
Final-year students are eligible here, which is not true of every summer programme, so a 2027 graduate can apply. Have one concrete example of using an AI tool ready; the bank asks for it in every campus advert and it is easy to answer badly.
The route that always works, and the one they are most likely to read.
The firm publishes this person, and publishes no address we could read for anyone here, so there is no pattern to show you either. Search their name and firm on LinkedIn and write from your own account.
