You spend 3 days at Rothschild & Co in London as a year 13 school student, learning what bankers who advise companies on big deals actually do.

The Pioneer Work Experience Programme is aimed at students in year 13 who are thinking about a career in financial advisory, which means advising companies and governments on buying and selling businesses, raising money and dealing with debts they cannot pay. It is centred on the Global Advisory division and introduces its M&A, Debt and Restructuring and Global Markets Solutions businesses.

It is work experience, not an internship, so you watch, ask and practise rather than doing a banker's job.
