What the job is
You build the code and maths that check and improve how a bank's automated currency trading performs. This seat is in the FX Electronic Trading quant team in London, at the centre of the bank's electronic market making and algorithmic execution business. FX means foreign exchange, the buying and selling of currencies. Market making means always offering prices at which clients can buy or sell, and algorithmic execution means programs that carry out a client's large order in small pieces.
The role sits between senior associate and junior VP level, so it is for people who have already worked in the field rather than for new graduates.
