You handle the trades a commodities options desk does through brokers, and manage the firm's relationships with those brokers, at a market making firm trading its own money. Much options trading in commodities still happens by phone or message through brokers, who match a buyer and a seller without either knowing who the other is until the trade is done. The broker trader is the desk's voice to those brokers. You take prices from them, show the desk's interest, agree trades, and make sure what was agreed is what the desk wanted.

The seat is on a new desk in London that IMC is building around listed commodities options, meaning options that trade on an exchange. Because the desk is young, you help decide how it works with brokers and which opportunities it chases, rather than inheriting a settled process.
