Technical machine learning

You spend a summer writing the software that trains machine learning models at a firm that uses them to predict movements in financial markets. The seat sits in the Technical Machine Learning team, which is part of Software Engineering. The team builds the tools that let the firm's researchers train and run models on very large amounts of data, so that a research idea can be tested and put to work sooner.

The internship runs from 28th June 2027 to 17th September 2027, 12 weeks, in London. It is a placement for students, and the work is engineering on the firm's own systems rather than a side project. If you move to London for it, from elsewhere in the UK or from abroad, the firm covers the cost of the move and of immigration, and a consultant arranges travel and helps you find somewhere to live.
