You spend 6 months on a direct lending team, studying mid sized European companies and helping decide whether to lend to them. This is a long term internship in London with Five Arrows Direct Lending, part of Five Arrows, the alternative assets arm of Rothschild & Co. The team lends straight to privately owned companies, most of them owned by private equity, offering everything from senior loans to riskier forms such as mezzanine and PIK notes, and sometimes small equity stakes.
