What the job is
You help a team that lends money directly to companies decide which loans to make, and then keep watch on the companies it has lent to. This is an internship in the London office of Ardian's Private Credit team.
Private credit means lending to companies from an investment fund rather than from a bank. The fund agrees the loan with the company, often one owned by a private equity firm, and holds it until it is repaid. The team manages approximately $10 billion, and its loans often help pay for a buyout or for a company's growth.
