What the job is
You are an associate who works out what pools of loans and the bonds built from them are worth, for clients who need an independent value. The seat is in the Valuations & Opinions Group, in its asset-backed finance practice.
Asset-backed finance means lending or investing against a large group of loans, such as mortgages, student loans or consumer loans, whose repayments pay the investors. Funds and lenders holding these need a value they can report and defend, and this team provides it.
