Team: Wealth Management. A franchise that uses the firm's global network, sourcing capabilities, and deep experience to provide personalized perspectives, advice, and offerings tailored to the financial and planning needs of ultra-high net worth individuals, family offices, foundations, executives, and employees. Goldman's Summer Analyst Program is a nine-to-ten-week summer internship for students pursuing a bachelor's or graduate degree, running orientation, training and real responsibilities alongside fellow interns and the firm's people. This posting is the 2027 London intake for Wealth Management, Private Wealth Management; the fields read Division: Asset & Wealth Management and Corporate title: Summer Analyst. Source
Goldman says Wealth Management includes Private Wealth Management, Goldman Sachs Ayco, Wealth Solutions, and Private Banking, Lending & Deposits - advisor-led businesses providing financial planning, investment management, banking and comprehensive advice to ultra-high-net-worth and high-net-worth individuals, family offices, foundations, endowments, and corporations and their employees. Private Wealth Management is the private-client side of the firm: the business that covers wealthy families, family offices and foundations and looks after their money and their affairs. The unit of value is the relationship, not the transaction. A PWM summer is spent around advisers - investment proposals, portfolio reviews, preparing for client meetings - rather than around deal models, and the people who do well in it are the ones who genuinely like covering people. Work out which of those two you are before you spend an application.
The team
The parent division, Asset & Wealth Management, has over $3 trillion in assets under supervision and serves institutional clients as well as private ones, across traditional public investing and alternative investments, with an apprenticeship culture the firm says lets juniors learn directly from seasoned professionals. Goldman adds that the wealth business's growth is driven by a relentless focus on clients and customers, its people, and leading-edge technology, data and design. Source
7 people have held London roles in Goldman Sachs' Wealth Management since 2018, against 232 in the Investment Banking Division and 18 in Asset Management. It is the smallest London unit at the firm - a much shorter queue than banking, and few enough people that you should go into the interview with real questions rather than expecting to find someone beforehand who has done the job.
An advisor-led business means the thing that compounds in your career is client coverage, not technical output. The junior years look like supporting advisers on planning, proposals and portfolio work; the senior years look like owning relationships and the assets that come with them. That is a genuinely different career from the one two floors away in banking, and it is one worth wanting on purpose rather than falling into because the application was less contested.
The firm
779 people have held London roles at Goldman Sachs as a whole since 2018, across banking, markets, asset and wealth management and research.
What this posting signals
A 2027 summer class listed in the middle of August 2026 is the standard annual campus cycle. The London summer classes fill through the autumn, so the practical window is September and October - the nominal one, whatever it turns out to be, is later than the useful one.
No deadline is stated, which on a Goldman campus role means rolling review rather than a generous runway. Apply early; there is no date protecting a late application.
Are you eligible?
Open to students pursuing a bachelor's or graduate degree; the posting names no graduation window and no right-to-work requirement. The application rule it does state: up to four separate business/location combinations in any recruiting year, any additional application auto-withdrawn, a live application that has not been turned down withdrawn before you add another, and no creating multiple email addresses to apply to more opportunities. Source
The four-application cap matters more here than almost anywhere. Private wealth draws far fewer applicants than banking, so on pure odds it is one of the better uses of one of your four - but only if you can say why wealth rather than banking without it sounding like a fallback. That is the first question you will be asked, and the answer 'it seemed less competitive' is audible from a long way off.
Ready to apply?
No deadline given, so it closes when the places fill.
Most junior seats are filled by someone writing to the right person before a portal
fills up. Here is one of the people Goldman Sachs publishes, in full.
1 person. Their role, the page the firm names them on, and how to reach them
The route that always works, and the one they are most likely to read.
The firm publishes this person, and publishes no address we could read for anyone here, so there is no pattern to show you either. Search their name and firm on LinkedIn and write from your own account.
