What the job is
You help portfolio managers run private clients' investments, checking that each portfolio holds what it should and putting changes through. The seat supports Portfolio Managers as they build and oversee client portfolios, and it is set up as a step towards becoming a Portfolio Manager yourself, with more responsibility as you learn.
Much of the job is keeping portfolios in line with each client's mandate, the agreement on what the client wants and how much risk they accept. You also keep them in line with the Centralised Investment Proposition, the firm's central plan for how client portfolios should be invested.
