The work is investment-team work. You support the Associates and Principals with market research and turn it into presentations; research and gather data for deal analysis; analyse the historical financials of a potential investment; analyse business plans and build detailed financial models of potential investments with an Associate's support; drive the production of materials for discussion within the investment teams and the investment committees; support the team through the deal process up to closing; and help monitor the financial and operational reporting of partner companies. 'French' is a requirement rather than a location - the seat is in London - and note that the requirements section itself only asks for fluent English with other European languages 'an advantage', so the French filter lives entirely in the title. It means French-language information memoranda, management accounts and calls, and usually part of the process conducted in French. 'January 2026' is a start in the middle of the academic year, and that single fact is what makes this an off-cycle seat rather than a summer one.

'Several relevant internships' is the real gate, and it is a plural. Read together with a mid-year start, the profile the firm has in mind is someone already a year or two into finance experience who is free from January - not a second-year looking for a first internship.
