This is JPMorgan's flagship London investment banking summer internship for 2027: a nine-week programme opening with five days of orientation and training, based at 25 Bank Street, Canary Wharf, inside the Commercial & Investment Bank. Top performers may receive a 2028 full-time analyst offer at the end of the summer. Source
The firm sets out what 'Global Investment Banking' contains: you join one of its Coverage, Advisory or Capital Markets teams, spanning sectors such as Consumer & Retail, Healthcare, Technology, Financial Institutions and Real Estate, or product areas including M&A, Corporate Finance Advisory, Infrastructure, Ratings Advisory, Sustainable Solutions, Equity Capital Markets and Debt Capital Markets. The work is described as analysing market data, building detailed financial models and preparing client presentations for mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts and capital markets advisory, and managing client transactions from pitch to close. Read the title as a programme, not a job. '2027' is the summer you would actually work, 'Analyst Program' is the entry band every bank uses for its most junior banker, and the absence of any sector or product word is the point: you apply to the London class and the desk is decided afterwards. Do not spend your application trying to pick between Healthcare and ECM. Do have a defensible answer ready for interview, because that conversation is where the allocation is really settled.
The team you would join is one of JPMorgan's investment banking coverage, advisory or capital markets groups, which the firm describes as partnering with corporate clients through long-term relationships, providing advice, access to funds and connections while managing risk. Source
215 people have held London roles in JPMorgan's investment banking division since 2018, against 287 across the whole firm in London - our JPMorgan coverage is dominated by this one division, which is a fair reflection of where the bank's London junior seats sit and the deepest pool of people to ask about it.
A 2027 summer programme posted on 1 September 2026 is the structured annual cycle, and it is the one everyone is applying to right now. The London bulge-bracket window opens at the end of August and the useful weeks are September and October, whatever date is printed on the row.
The stated deadline is 1 November 2026 but the page also says programmes will close as positions are filled. Both things are true and the second one governs. Treat November as the outside edge and get the application and the video interview done inside a fortnight of starting.
Required: an expected graduation date of 2028 - and if you plan to go on to a master's, that later date is the one to enter - on track for a UK 2:1 bachelor's degree or equivalent, fluency in English, availability during the months in the job title, and working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word. The application deadline is 1 November 2026, 23:55. Source
After the application and CV, candidates who advance are emailed an invitation to a HireVue video interview. The firm states that completing it is required and that your application will not be considered for further review until you have done so. Source
The HireVue is where most people quietly lose this application. It sits between you and any human review, and the class is filling while your invitation sits unopened in a promotions tab. Record it within days of receiving it, not at the end of term.
The graduation-date rule catches people who are about to start a master's: enter the year you finish everything, not the year your undergraduate ends. Enter 2027 and you have applied to the wrong cycle.
