New here? Every junior finance job in London, each one explained in plain English. Start with what the words mean, then work down the board.
Closes Sun 1 November
This is the full-time 2027 graduate intake into J.P. Morgan Asset Management in London - the Analyst Training Program. Job category Analysts, business unit Asset & Wealth Management, at 60 Victoria Embankment, London EC4Y 0JP, schedule full time, posted 1 September 2026, 'Apply Before 01/11/2026, 23:55', with an application deadline in the text of 1 November 2026. First-year Analysts spend four weeks on the firm's training programme in New York with colleagues from around the world, covering business strategy and structure, finance and accounting principles, technical skills, the firm's proprietary tools and networking events. Source
The work as described: collaborate with industry experts to develop investment solutions for corporate, government, not-for-profit and other clients worldwide, and work with client portfolio managers, traders, research analysts, marketers and client advisors to understand and execute investment strategies. The firm says its Asset Management business advises clients who typically include financial advisors, institutions, retirement plans and individual investors, and manages strategies from fixed income and equity to real assets. 'Analyst Training Program' is JPMorgan's name for the graduate job, not for an internship - the four weeks in New York are the start of a permanent role. The graduation window settles it: August 2026 to July 2027 means people finishing university now. If you are a penultimate-year student, the row you want is the summer programme, not this one.
The naming is worth a second look before you write anything. The title says 'Asset Management Investments', but the body describes the 'Asset Management - Products Analyst Training Program', and the responsibilities are drawn broadly enough to cover investing, client portfolio management and distribution alike. Ask which side of the house this requisition sits on. An application built entirely around wanting to pick stocks can land badly on a products team, and the other way round.
The firm describes the business you would join as managing a variety of investment strategies from fixed income and equity to real assets, building a global client franchise, and giving expert advice to financial advisors, institutions, retirement plans and individual investors. Source
21 people have held London roles in JPMorgan's Asset Management division since 2018, against 216 in its investment bank. On our numbers the asset management side is much the smaller London employer of the two, so expect a small class and a thinner network of alumni to reach into.
No desk, asset class or team is named for this seat - the posting stops at 'Asset Management'. That is normal for a graduate programme, but it means the single most important fact about your first year is decided after you sign. Make it a direct question at interview: which teams in London are taking Analysts from this programme, and when is the allocation made.
The firm describes J.P. Morgan Asset Management as an investment manager for institutions, financial intermediaries and investors worldwide, with a heritage of more than two centuries, a broad range of core and alternative strategies, investment professionals in every major world market, and leadership positions in America, the United Kingdom, Continental Europe, Asia and Japan. 580 people have held London roles at JPMorgan as a whole since 2018.
The page states 'APPLICATION DEADLINE: 1 November 2026' and adds: 'We will be filling our classes on a rolling basis. We strongly encourage you to submit your application as early as possible before job postings close.' Its Similar Jobs list shows the rest of the Asset & Wealth Management graduate family in London, all posted at the end of August or on 1 September 2026: an Asset Management Risk Analyst Training Program, the Global Private Bank Investment Solutions Analyst Training Program, and a Global Private Bank Advisor Analyst Training Program running in London, Manchester and Edinburgh. Each of those three carries the same line - for students graduating between August 2026 and July 2027. Source
That list is the useful part of the page. Four graduate programmes across Asset & Wealth Management in London share one graduation window, which means they are competing for the same students at the same time - and one of them also hires in Manchester and Edinburgh, which is worth knowing if London rent is part of your calculation. Decide which of investments, risk and the private bank you actually want rather than filing all of them in the last week.
Posted on 1 September, closing 1 November, filled on a rolling basis in between: the effective deadline is weeks earlier than the stated one. If you are graduating in 2027, this eight-week window is your cycle, and the first fortnight of it is worth more than the last.
Required: an expected graduation date of August 2026 to July 2027; excellent verbal and written communication skills; confidence and initiative to take on responsibility and manage your own projects; a strong interest in finance and asset management, which the firm calls essential; a good level of numeracy; analytical and quantitative skills, flexibility, teamwork and excellent attention to detail; the ability to handle pressure; and a well-rounded academic background. Preferred: a United Kingdom 2:1 Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in your undergraduate studies. Source
Process: submit a complete application with your resume and answer all relevant questions; use an email address you will keep and not one with a '.edu' extension, which the firm says could delay updates on your candidacy. After you confirm, the firm reviews whether you meet the required qualifications; if you advance you are invited to a HireVue video interview, which is required - your application will not be considered for further review until it is done. Source
Note that the 2:1 is preferred rather than required and no degree subject is named anywhere - so a 2:2 or a non-finance degree is not automatically the end of it here, which is not true everywhere. The hard gate is the graduation window: August 2026 to July 2027. If you finished before that, this row cannot take you however good the CV is.
