Who to write to at JPMorgan

What this title actually means

This is J.P. Morgan's 2027 Global Corporate Banking summer internship in London, posted 1 September 2026 in the Commercial & Investment Bank, Job Category Seasonal Employee, based at 25 Bank Street, Canary Wharf, E14 5JP, with an application deadline of 1 November 2026 at 23:55. It opens with an orientation and training led by the firm's own professionals and instructors, and the posting states that top performing summer analysts may receive a full-time offer to join the two-year Global Corporate Banking analyst programme. Source

The token that decides everything here is 'Corporate'. Global Corporate Banking is not Global Investment Banking - the posting's own Similar Jobs list carries the 2027 Global Investment Banking Analyst Program as a separate advert with its own application. Corporate banking is the lending and day-to-day banking relationship with a company: credit analysis, financing requests, transaction banking, capital markets and risk solutions brought in alongside product teams. The pitch book and the sell-side M&A process are the other programme. Both are real careers and they are not the same application, so choose deliberately rather than applying to whichever you found first.

'Analyst Program' rather than 'Internship' alone is doing real work in this title. The page gives no length for the summer, but it is clear about what the summer feeds: a two-year full-time analyst programme. Treat the summer as the interview for that job, because in London corporate and investment banking the graduate class is largely filled from the previous summer's interns.

The team

You join one of several specialised teams within Global Corporate Banking, and the posting names four. Mid-Cap: tailored corporate and investment banking solutions to multinational mid-cap companies. Infrastructure: covering leading global infrastructure fund investors across digital, energy, transportation and social infrastructure, with significant exposure to senior bankers. Subsidiary: integrated banking services to EMEA subsidiaries of multinational clients, focused on regional operations and geography-specific needs. Innovation Economy: high-growth, VC- and PE-backed technology and life sciences companies, with global banking, venture lending and strategic advisory. Source

The intern's actual work, in the posting's own list: assisting bankers with the internal side of existing client relationships; industry and credit analysis, including reviewing financial statements and supporting the credit approval and documentation process; preparing internal memos such as senior management briefings and decision committee memoranda; participating in the analysis and negotiation of financing requests alongside credit, product, legal and compliance; and coordinating with product and country teams to identify and execute transactions across capital markets, risk solutions and transaction banking. Source

Four teams sit behind one application, and they are four different client sets: mid-cap corporates, infrastructure funds, the EMEA subsidiaries of multinationals, and venture-backed technology and life sciences. Decide which one you want before the interview and be able to say why in a sentence, because you get one application here, not four, and 'I'm open to anything' is the answer that gets you allocated rather than chosen.

The firm

J.P. Morgan describes itself on this page as a global leader in financial services, providing strategic advice and products to the world's most prominent corporations, governments, wealthy individuals and institutional investors. Source

580 people have held London roles at JPMorgan as a whole since 2018 - one of the two or three deepest London alumni pools, which matters when you are looking for someone to ask about the difference between these programmes.

11 people have held London roles in the unit our org map labels CIB since 2018. That is the label the posting's own business unit line uses, and it is a thin count next to the 216 the record holds for the bank's investment banking division - a reminder that our coverage of the corporate banking side is much lighter than of the deal side, not that the business is small.

What this posting signals

The posting is explicit about the process and about timing: 'We will be filling our classes on a rolling basis. We strongly encourage you to submit your application as early as possible before job postings close.' After you apply you receive an invitation to a recorded video interview powered by HireVue, which is required - the posting says your application will not be considered for further review until you have completed it, and that programmes will close as positions are filled. Source

Posted 1 September 2026 with a 1 November deadline and rolling review, the real window is the first few weeks, not the last. Two practical consequences: get the application in during September rather than October, and do the HireVue immediately - a completed application sitting behind an unfinished video interview is not in the queue at all.

Are you eligible?

Required: familiarity with business fundamentals; the ability to solve problems alone and in a team; enthusiasm, energy and drive; a collaborative mindset; the confidence and initiative to take on early responsibility and manage your own projects; proficiency in MS Word and Excel; and fluency in English. Expected graduation dates January 2028 to August 2028. Preferred, not required: being on track for a UK 2:1 bachelor's degree or equivalent. Source

The graduation window is the hard filter and everything else is soft. If you finish between January and August 2028 you are in it; if you graduate in 2027 you are a year late for this intake and if you graduate in 2029 you are a year early - check your expected month before spending the application. Note also where the 2:1 sits: under Preferred, not Required. That is unusual for a bulge-bracket London programme and it means a borderline first year is not automatically the end of the conversation here.
