What the job is
You take orders from large investors who want to buy or sell shares in emerging markets, and you get those trades done well for them. A sales trader sits between the client and the market. The client, such as a fund manager, decides what to buy or sell, and you work out how and when to do it so the price is good and the trade does not push the market against them.
The seat is in the Global Markets execution business in London, with a focus on Emerging Markets High Touch Sales Trading. Emerging markets are countries whose economies and stock markets are still developing. High touch means a person handles each order by phone or chat rather than leaving it to a computer.
