You help a team that invests in private credit check how its investments are doing and work out what to do with the ones that are struggling. You spend a summer in London with the portfolio managers who run the firm's private strategies.

Private credit means loans and other lending that are not traded on public markets. The firm invests in commercial and residential real estate and mortgage credit, in performing and distressed company debt, and in specialty finance. Distressed debt is lending to borrowers in financial trouble, and specialty finance means lending outside mainstream bank loans, often to businesses that make loans themselves.
