What the job is
You help sell government bonds and interest rate products to investors such as hedge funds, asset managers, banks and insurers, as an associate on BNP Paribas's rates sales team in London. The UK Institutional DM Rates Sales team covers public-side institutional clients in developed markets rates. Rates means government bonds and the contracts built on interest rates.
The team keeps a steady dialogue with its clients and grows the business it does with them. At associate level you work under the supervision of more senior salespeople, handle simpler business yourself and are expected to work with growing independence.
