What the job is
You help a development focused investor assess, close and monitor loans and guarantees for infrastructure projects in emerging markets, working in French and English.
The employer is an international investment organisation that puts private money into sustainable and inclusive infrastructure in emerging and frontier markets, mainly in Africa, the Middle East and Asia. Infrastructure means long lived assets such as power plants, roads, ports and water systems. The organisation provides investment, financing and guarantees so those projects get built, support economic development and help the shift to net zero. You sit in the Investment team in London and report to an Associate Director.
Investment analyst here names the work rather than a rank. You are the junior member of deal teams, covering a transaction from the first look through due diligence and financial close to monitoring it afterwards. Due diligence is the checking of a project's numbers, contracts and risks before money is committed. Financial close is the point at which all the contracts are signed and the money can flow.
