What the job is
You learn to research companies and judge whether their shares are worth buying, for fund managers who invest in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific. This is a two-year graduate programme as a research associate in the EMEA & Asia Pac Equity team at Janus Henderson in London, beginning in summer 2027.
Equity research means studying a company closely enough to say what its shares are really worth. You read its accounts, meet its managers and build a model of its future profits and cash, then compare your answer with the share price. Portfolio managers, the people who decide what each fund owns and in what size, use those views to buy and sell. Over the two years you move between the team's strategies, the different styles of investing its funds follow.
