What the job is
You help an investment team at an asset manager find, analyse and look after loans and stakes in companies that need more complex financing. The Capital Solutions team invests where ordinary lending does not fit.
The team's deals include market dislocation, when prices fall sharply and good assets become cheap, as well as specialty asset finance, opportunistic lending, structured or preferred equity and distressed credit. Preferred equity is a stake in a company that is paid before ordinary shareholders. Distressed credit means lending to, or buying the debt of, companies in financial trouble.
This is a graduate analyst seat on the Analyst Programme, and you report to a senior investment professional on the team.
