You help decide which new private equity, growth and venture capital funds HarbourVest's clients should put money into, by studying the managers who run them. You sit in the EMEA Primary Investment Group in London.
Primary investing means committing money to a fund when its manager first raises it. The manager then picks the companies, so the real decision is which managers to back. An associate here does the analysis behind that choice and keeps watch over the funds already chosen.
