What the job is
You help trace and win back money for the creditors of failed companies, often by uncovering deals made before the collapse that can be challenged.
The seat is an Assistant Manager in Interpath's Contentious Insolvency team in London. When a company becomes insolvent, meaning it cannot pay its debts, the people appointed to wind it up try to recover as much as possible for those it owes. Contentious work is the part that may end in a legal claim, against directors who broke their duties or against people who received money or assets they should not have.
