What the job is
You write the software that a trading firm uses to research, test and run its automated trading strategies.
At Xantium the trading decisions come from mathematical models. A quantitative developer builds the code those models live in, from the pipes that bring in prices to the systems that test ideas and run the trading. Elsewhere the same job may be called research engineer or software developer. What the seat needs is strong programming together with comfort with numbers.
