Shared engineering

You write the shared tools and services that engineers across a trading firm use to build, test and release their code. You join Shared Engineering, a platform team, which builds the foundations other teams rely on rather than a trading system of its own. Its aim is that engineers take fewer manual steps, release work quickly and predictably, and can help themselves instead of raising a request and waiting.

This seat focuses on developer experience, how easy and quick it is for engineers to do their work. A growing part of it is how the firm's engineers take up AI coding assistants, tools that suggest and write code, safely and well.
