What the job is
You lead a fund's research on European banks, insurers and other financial companies and decide which of their shares it should own or bet against. You are the firm's expert on the sector at Haverstock Capital in London. The financials part of the portfolio makes up 20 to 25% of the money the fund manages.
The title sits between a senior analyst and an associate portfolio manager, someone who helps run the money. The firm treats the role as a route to becoming a portfolio manager and running capital yourself.
