What the job is
You help a private equity deal team find, check and track the companies it buys. Private equity means a firm raises money from investors, buys companies outright, works to make them more valuable and sells them some years later. The deal team is the group of investors who run that cycle, and as an intern you work alongside them on live deals in London.
The work follows the life of a deal. You help look for new companies worth buying, help with due diligence on the ones the team pursues, help monitor the companies already owned and see how an owned company is sold.
