What the job is
You help run bond portfolios that clients hold for the long term, buying sound company bonds and keeping them until they are repaid. This is a 12 month fixed-term contract on the Buy and Maintain team at L&G Asset Management.
Each client gives the team a mandate, a set of instructions on how its money must be invested. Here the mandates are in investment grade credit, which means bonds from companies judged very likely to pay back what they borrowed. A buy and maintain portfolio holds those bonds rather than trading in and out of them, so the client gets steady, predictable income with few defaults.
