What the job is
You research fast-growing financial technology companies and help an investment bank win the work of advising them on deals and fundraising. The seat is a first year analyst place in the FinTech Strategy and Business Development team at FT Partners in London. FinTech means financial technology, the companies that build software for payments, lending, banking and investing. FT Partners is an investment bank that advises only these companies, on mergers and acquisitions, on raising private capital and on capital markets.
Business development is the work of finding and winning new clients. The team supports the bank's most important efforts to do that and publishes research on the industry, which the bankers use to open conversations with companies and investors. First year analyst is the entry level for someone finishing university.
