You join a programme that trains you to build and explain investment portfolios for wealthy families, as an Investment Solutions Analyst in the Global Private Bank at JPMorgan in London. A private bank looks after the money of wealthy individuals and families, bringing together investments, lending, everyday banking and trusts and estates, the legal structures families use to hold and pass on wealth. Investment Solutions is the part that works out what to do with a client's money. You work with product specialists on a Solutions team to research, analyse and develop investment strategies and opportunities for clients.

The firm calls this the Investment Solutions Training Program, and it is its main source of homegrown talent for these teams. It begins with a five week immersive global training programme with incoming analysts from around the world, then continues with formal and informal training, mentorship and programme events for the rest of the programme. Many full time analysts are later promoted to associate.
