What the job is
You choose which outside equity hedge funds an institutional investor puts its money with, and keep checking them once it has invested.
The seat is in a London-based Equity Manager Selection team that spreads money across many equity hedge fund strategies, from long/short equity to market neutral, quantitative and sector specialist funds. An equity hedge fund invests mainly in company shares.
