What the job is
You keep the records a banking team uses to cover private equity firms, tracking what each fund owns, buys, sells and raises. The team is the EMEA Financial Sponsors Group. Financial sponsors is the banking word for private equity firms and similar funds that buy companies with money raised from investors. A coverage group looks after the bank's relationship with a set of clients rather than running one kind of deal. This group covers large and mid-market private equity investors operating in EMEA and brings in the firm's industry, product and country teams to serve them.
This is an off-cycle internship, a placement that runs outside the summer window to fill a real gap in a team. It lasts five and a half months, starts in 2026 or 2027, and is based in London.
