What the job is
You support financial planners who advise private clients on their money, and train towards giving that advice yourself.
Financial planning means helping an individual or family work out how to meet their goals, such as retiring, using their pensions, investments, insurance and tax allowances. At Brooks Macdonald you work under supervision for a Financial Planning Consultant, doing the preparation, research and paperwork around their client meetings. You are not authorised to give regulated advice yourself. The role is designed to take you to that point through the firm's Academy.
