Client & product

You spend a week in BlackRock's London office seeing how the teams that serve its clients and design its funds do their work. It is a spring insight week, a short introduction to a firm for students early in their degree.

The week covers the Client & Product business areas. The client side looks after the pension schemes, insurers and wealth managers whose money BlackRock manages, explaining how it is invested and how it has done. The product side decides which funds the firm offers and how they are built, priced and described.

These teams differ from the investment teams that choose what to buy and run the portfolios. It is not a working placement, and nobody expects you to know the job already.
