A permanent contract in London at Crédit Agricole CIB, reference 2026-112620, page last updated 20 May 2026, listed as a non-management position. The firm says the seat focuses on its financial institution clientele, from private banks to large institutions, on the structured credit offering - either investments or hedging. The work: coordinate with sales to propose products and solutions, covering pricing, strategy, pitch and client meetings, for both hedging and investment purposes; prepare marketing materials for review by the customer, CACIB and lawyers; execute transactions with Trading in line with CACIB pricing policies; ensure best-in-class execution from pre-trade to post-trade; work with the other regional structuring teams; and contribute to new product development by answering reverse enquiries quickly. Three tokens, and the middle one is the job. 'Structured Credit' is the product: credit risk packaged into something a client can buy for yield or use to hedge an exposure - the posting's own wrapping list is the vocabulary to learn, tailored financing with embedded derivatives, EMTN, fund, loan, repack and total return swap. 'Structuring' is the function, and it sits between the two jobs students have heard of: sales owns the client, trading owns the price and the risk, and structuring designs the instrument and prices it with trading so the sales desk has something to sell. 'Analyst' is the junior band on that desk - not a programme label, and not a rotation.
Note who the clients are, because it changes the work. This seat covers financial institutions - private banks and large institutions - rather than corporates. A private bank buying a structured credit note wants yield with a defined risk shape for its own clients; a corporate wants a hedge for something on its balance sheet. Preparing for this interview means being able to talk about a credit-linked payoff from the buyer's side, not about a company's financing needs.
The team
This row reaches us with no team attached, so it will not surface in a search by desk - but the page names the unit clearly enough to work with. It is Global Markets Structuring, organised around three poles (Corporates, Financial Institutions, Wrapping Solutions) and four regions (Americas, Asia Pacific, EMEA excluding France, and France). This seat is the Financial Institutions pole, in London, so within EMEA. What the page will not tell you is how many people that is in London - a structuring pole at a French bank's London office can be a handful - which is the first thing to ask.
The team's mandate, as the posting sets it out: provide added-value solutions, marketing content, technical support and training and pricing assistance to the sales network, across rates, credit, FX and precious metals, equities, cross-assets (hybrids) and alternative solutions such as ESG, risk transfer and proprietary indices; keep execution smooth between Trading and Sales; design and develop new products in response to client needs and sales feedback; implement tailored financing and packaging 'wrapping' solutions; support cross-selling regionally and globally, including setting the acceptable risk parameters for the product line; hold the origination standards from a compliance and legal standpoint; and act as the technical point of contact internally and externally with clients, market counterparties, regulators and industry bodies. 19 people have held London roles at Crédit Agricole CIB since 2018. That same 19 is both our figure for its corporate and investment bank and our figure for the firm's whole London presence - the same group counted twice rather than a unit sitting inside something bigger. Read it as evidence that our coverage of this bank is thin, not as a measurement of the desk.
The firm
Crédit Agricole CIB is the corporate and investment bank of the Crédit Agricole group, which the posting describes as the tenth largest banking group in the world by balance sheet size, citing The Banker, July 2025. It supports major companies and financial institutions with their development and the financing of their projects, operates in more than 30 international locations, and says it was the first French bank to commit to the Equator Principles. What this posting signals
The page carries an update date of 20 May 2026 and no opening date reached us at all, which means this row has been sitting on the careers site for months. That cuts two ways and you should know both: it is either close to filled or hard to fill, and a hard-to-fill structuring seat is exactly the kind where an unusual profile gets read properly. We do not mark a posting closed without positive evidence from the firm, so treat it as live - but a short email confirming the seat still exists is worth more than a long application sent blind.
No deadline appears anywhere, and a permanent contract with no intake behind it is filled the day someone signs. There is no window to wait for and nothing gained by holding an application back.
Are you eligible?
Minimum education is a Bachelor Degree / BSc or equivalent, with a finance-related university degree and/or professional qualification. Experience: in financial engineering, structuring and new product development, and in financial products in at least one of interest rate derivatives, FX, credit or equity derivatives. Required skills as listed: flexible, strong initiative, highly motivated, creative, innovative, team oriented, analytical, and fluent English. Technical skills: IT literate, mathematically minded, a good understanding of derivatives, structuring skills, and programming in Python and VBA. Source
Read the two requirement fields against each other, because they point in opposite directions. The education minimum is only a bachelor's, which looks open. The experience field then asks for prior structuring and new-product work plus hands-on time with one derivatives asset class - an experienced hire from another structuring or derivatives desk, and no amount of academic strength substitutes for it. The band says Analyst; the bar says you have already done the job somewhere else.
Nothing on the page addresses UK right to work or visa sponsorship, and the surrounding careers site is a French-language group site listing roles across many countries. On a French bank's London seat, establish the sponsorship position in the first exchange rather than after the technical round.

No deadline given, so it closes when the places fill.
Most junior seats are filled by someone writing to the right person before a portal
fills up. Here is one of the people Crédit Agricole CIB publishes, in full.
1 person. Their role, the page the firm names them on, and how to reach them
Jean-Philippe Gros
Head of the Debt Restructuring & Advisory Services Division
The route that always works, and the one they are most likely to read.
The firm publishes this person, and publishes no address we could read for anyone here, so there is no pattern to show you either. Search their name and firm on LinkedIn and write from your own account.
